This page is something of an anachronism, and should really be taken down. But before I hooked into the Google Maps API for the front page I set about writing by own Mercator projection mapping system. Unfortunately I changed hosting and the system is unable to update the rendering due to memory issues on the server. However, some kind of limited result is shown below, and quite embarrassing in comparison with what Google (and others) have achieved. But I wanted to leave it up here for old times sake, so please don't laugh too hard... --Ash
